Giving Back

At The Rose Tree, I believe that grown up beauty means being responsible.  This includes sourcing ingredients ethically, manufacturing in England, and giving a little back.

At The Rose Tree, I believe in grown up beauty.

Less about looking 10 years younger and more about feeling amazing.  The best ingredients for the job, not the cheapest.  The finest natural and organic plant oils and butters,  selected for their effectiveness.

I am all about being small, because small means personal, and comes with great service. I want finding beauty that works to be easy.

I am passionate about manufacturing  in Britain, sourcing ingredients ethically and being able to give a little back to the world.

And that is why I have partnered up with Buy1Give1

Buy1Give1 (B1G1) is a social enterprise and non-profit organisation with a mission to create a world full of giving. Unlike conventional giving models, B1G1 helps small and medium-sized businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities into everyday business operations and creating unique giving stories.

That means, with your help, we can make a small but positive difference.

Although I source my ingredients here in England, many of my raw ingredients originate from other areas of the world.

For example, my Shea Butter originates from a women's community project in Ghana.  Marula Oil, one of the star ingredients in my Facial Essence with Rose & Marula originates from South Africa and Mozambique where it has been used for centuries as a moisturiser.

My Mango Butter, a key component of my Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter originates from India.

Ukraine Update - April 2022

For all of you that asked, I have extended our giving back program to provide emergency relief for refugees in Ukraine. I have made a contribution on your behalf for orders received in March, thank you!

Direct Relief equips health professionals in resource-poor communities to meet the challenges of diagnosing and caring for people in need. When disasters strike, Direct Relief responds effectively and efficiently to get medical resources where they need to be.

Direct Relief’s current focus in Ukraine is on treating injuries and other trauma caused by the violence, and are working with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health to provide needed trauma and critical care items. Soon, displacement will lead to a host of health problems, and they are working with partners to source medical aid that will be needed in the coming weeks and months.

Projects supported

I have taken three of my best selling skin care products and partnered them with a giving back project.

The Rose Tree Giving Back

When you purchase a Facial Essence with Rose & Blackcurrant, we give 4 days of life saving water to families.

Access to safe drinking water is a basic human right,  yet sadly not the case for many families in Cambodia.    You will help the Trailblazer Foundation provide safe water via the means of a Bio-Sand Water Filter that lasts up to two decades and is able to provide for an entire family.

Each filter purifies 80 litres of water per day, which supplies enough water for drinking and cooking for up to 15 people. With an average family size of 5, one filter could serve 1-3 families.

The Rose Tree Giving Back - Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter

When you purchase a Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter, we give a child a day of access to school supplies.

You will help Hope for Children Australia Organization provide school supplies for a student that includes necessary textbooks and also other learning resources for their daily school day.
Ethiopia is faced with widespread poverty and lack of opportunities, especially for the young. Families struggle to send their kids to school and have very little resources to provide their children with the basic necessities they need for attending school.

When you purchase a Facial Essence with Rose & Marula, we provide  women access to a sewing machine so they can start a home business.

Women in Bangladesh need help to buy their own treadle sewing machine. Through B1G1 partner Every Home Global Concern, we provide sewing machines for women each year (many of whom are the mothers of the school children) so that they can start a home business.

Over the last 3 years, EHGC has been able to provide sewing training to 350 unskilled women who have developed their self esteem as they sew clothes for their families and sell items in the markets.

Together we can make a difference

Thank you for being part of The Rose Tree story, and for all helping me make a small difference.
