If its good enough for Kate... Rosehip Oil

If it's good enough for Kate, it's good enough for the rest of us!  The Duchess of Cambridge is reported to be a fan of organic rosehip oil to maintain her radiant skin,  and we are no strangers to its benefits at The Rose Tree, with it being a key ingredient in our award winning Facial Essence with Rose & Marula.  So what makes this ingredient so special?

Rosehip oil is one of the best oils for regenerating skin cells and for giving tangible results with softening and even smoothing scar tissue.  Rosehip oil comes from the seeds of the rosehip and is cold pressed to extract all of their goodness.   Although rosehips are available all over the world most commercial rosehip oil these days come from Chile, and ours is organic certified through The Soil Association.

The oil is full of essential fatty acids and vitamin A - both of which give a clue to its effectiveness in reducing lines and wrinkles.  The essential fatty acids hydrate the skin and help smooth out wrinkles plus they crucial for maintaining healthy skin.  And it is these same fatty acids which give a rejuvenating and regenerating effect on the skin.

It also feels great on the skin; it is known as a 'dry' oil because it does not leave any sort of oily feel on the skin, instead it is hydrating and quickly absorbed.  And best of all there have been a number of clinical trials carried out which does bear out its reputation.  In trials, it has been found to have a positive effect on the skin of people with wrinkles, UV damage and even scars, regenerating the skin, slowing the down the signs of ageing and improving the skin's natural colour and tone.
